Privacy Policy

Effective 2026

Atlantic Team Realty is a real estate brokerage serving St. John's and the surrounding communities in Newfoundland and Labrador. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and our advertising, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can see it, correct it, or have it removed.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you complete a form on our website or on one of our ads, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number, and the answers you give in that form — for example whether you're selling, buying, or both, and roughly when you're hoping to move.

When you visit our website, our website host records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. [We also use ANALYTICS TOOL to understand how people find and use the site.]

If you go on to work with us as a client, we collect considerably more: identification required by law, financial and property information, and transaction records. That collection is covered by the separate written consent you sign at the start of a client relationship, not by this policy.

Why we collect it

To send you the guide or resource you asked for. To contact you about your enquiry by phone, text, or email. To answer your questions and provide real estate services. To send occasional market updates, if you've agreed to receive them. And to understand which of our ads and pages are working.

We do not sell your personal information.

Our advertising on Facebook and Instagram

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. If you complete one of our forms there, Meta Platforms, Inc. passes what you entered to us, and we use Meta's tools to deliver and measure our advertising. Meta's own handling of your information is governed by Meta's privacy policy.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our business, and your information may be stored or processed by them:

Follow Up Boss — our client relationship management system, where enquiries and contact records are kept

Meta Platforms, Inc. — advertising delivery and measurement

Squarespace — our website host

Google — email, calendar, and file storage

We share information with these providers only so they can perform services for us. We may also share information where you've asked us to, or where we're required or permitted to by law.

Legal requests

If we receive a valid legal demand — a court order, a subpoena, or a lawful request from a regulator or law enforcement — we may disclose personal information to the extent the law requires. Where we're permitted to tell you, we will.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to 15 years from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Where a transaction takes place, records are kept for the longer period that real estate and financial legislation requires. When information is no longer needed for any purpose described here, we delete it or render it anonymous.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time — every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link and we act on it. You can ask us to stop contacting you by phone or text, and we'll record that. You can ask what information we hold about you and we'll tell you. You can ask us to correct anything inaccurate. And you can ask us to delete your information, which we'll do unless the law requires us to keep it.

Consent

We send marketing emails only to people who have asked for them or who have an existing relationship with us, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We keep a record of when and how consent was given.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page. Material changes will be flagged clearly.
